A hot air balloon will be tethered in the St Sampson’s Junior school field just behind the High Street offering a unique opportunity to see Cricklade from above!  Weather permitting the balloon will start flying at 10am and will be taking groups of four in the basket.  Don’t worry about drifting away; the balloon will be firmly tethered to make sure that you land in the same spot that you took off from....

Each ride will last about 5 minutes as you rise to around 100ft above Cricklade and then descend.   Note that there will be an age restriction of 7yrs or over 140cm tall otherwise they will not be able to see over the basket.

Tickets will be available on the day of the event at our desk outside Tesco’s.  Tickets will be available on the hour throughout the event, for rides in each subsequent hour.  As we can only take four people in the balloon at once, the number of tickets available will be quite limited – but there’s nothing we can do about that!

For each ticket, we will be asking for a charitable donation of £5 towards the running costs of this year’s festival.  In the event of cancellation or bad weather meaning we can’t fly as often as we predicted, then donations will be refunded, unless of course, you are happy to leave it as a contribution to the cost of staging the event....
